The perfect All Over Butter Crème

My personal rescue remedy for skin craving nourishment, moisture, protection and healing. Even with all the rich butters I include (Mango, Shea, Cocoa butter) it penetrates quickly providing long lasting deep hydration without greasiness.

For moisture, instead of plain old "distilled water”, I use Aloe leaf juice, Rose and Witch Hazel Hydrosol in my 100% plant derived botanical cream. These providing healing & soothing properties in addition to moisture.

Powerful, natural humectants grab the moisture and hold it next to the skin helping prevent dryness in harsh, arid climates.

PLUS , Wild Yarrow blossom I collect from the mountains is infused avocado oil. I include the infused oil along with Rosemary and Willow Bark Extract, Neem, and Stearic Acid, a saturated fatty acid for even more plant nourishment, conditioning and healing.

“I use organic products from a well known company that starts with an "E,"but NO MORE!  Val's products are so amazingly effective.  I just purchased her olive oil soap, the wild rose + vitamin C oil and her body butter.  I went cold turkey from my other products just to see how effective they are.  Let me tell face has never been as hydrated as it is now.  By age - not by spirit - I would have mature skin.  In all honesty, it's never looked better.  Because of Val's purity level, it takes just a small amount to see results.  I live in SW Colorado where it is dry all year long.  The body butter is just amazing.  I do believe I've found the Holy Grail!  I had to call Val to tell her just how impressed I was with her life's work and passion.  Folks, this is the real deal.  Val is also very willing to help you through all your purchases.  Oh, and the fragrances are just divine - subtle, relaxing - just like a walk though the CO forest.   I'm placing an online order after this post, and I'm never going back to the "E" products.  Why should I?  They simply aren't as effective.  Thank you Val!  Keep following your passion!”   MaryGail Hammock

What is your skin craving? Conditioning, Moisturizing, or both?

Need more moisture? Applying a lotion or cream to damp skin greatly increasing the moisturizing properties. The best dampness is provided by spritzing first with a therapeutic hydrosol water. then massaging together and allowing to air dry.

Need more conditioning? I add a few drops of a facial oil to ramp up the skin saving arsenal in my butter cream.

Need both? Then do both, apply to damp skin with a little facial oils, massage into the skin and allow to soak in. This is especially beneficial to do at night in the dry winter months.

Everyone needs a combination of both Oil and Water. to keep skin healthy and strong. Those with acute dry skin usually require more hydration, those with chronic dry skin (a lifelong condition) requires more oils and seed butters. Learn more about the differences between “creams” and “lotions” (hint: one provides more “moisture” the other provides more “oils”) and how to determine your condition? Learn More Here.

“Xerosis” is the term for abnormally dry skin. Dry skin is common, especially during the winter and in dry climates, and for those with more mature skin and older adults. It's usually a minor and temporary, but can cause discomfort. So when the mercury dips applying lotion or cream to damp skin and adding a little facial oil can make the difference between plump, hydrated, nourished skin and damaged, tight, dry skin, and new fine lines.

'Often we’re told ‘if you can’t pronounce the ingredient, you probably shouldn’t use it. This is ,of course, an oversimplification. Learn More

A note on how this blend was created. I hired a cosmetic chemist to help me tackle the hurdles I needed to overcome when formulating more complex emulsions. My consultant helped me create this amazing recipe and then troubleshoot production. Our efforts resulted in this high-end All Over butter creme which I produce in small batches and enhance with essential oils for aroma and additional toning.

A note on allergies: there is no such thing as "hypoallergenic" - it is a marketing term and it is also dangerous for anyone to make that claim. If you have very sensitive skin it is wise to test any new skin care product on a small patch of skin to determine sensitivities. How to perform a patch test.
