2-IN-1 Scrub and Mask. Use as a scrub (part of the OCM) AND as a nourishing mask treatment made with seed butters (featuring Mango seed butter), unrefined plant oils, vitamins & plant extracts, jojoba infused with Sage leaves plus fine salt and sugar.

Butter+Oil scrubs are a little known aspect of the Oil Cleansing Method and they do double duty as a leave on treatment. As a mild cleanser it will quickly dissolve oily residue from sweat, sebum, sunscreen and makeup. My whipped Perfection Scrub is a favorite for a reason: Skin feels silky soft and dewy after rinsing and wiping with warm water to remove.

As a leave on treatment Perfection Scrub for Faces provides deep conditioning and food for your skin - helping regain or retain soft supple skin by reducing chronic and acute dryness.

Perfection Scrub for Faces smells like a bowl of fresh cut Grapefruit + Lemon + Lime + Litsea Cubeba + Mandarin + Sweet Orange Peel.

UPDATE 6/16/2019: It’s better than ever! I made some minor changes to the formulation.

This delightful scrub is a customer favorite. Gentle exfoliation and buttery hydration that lasts. You’ll notice your skin is softer and more supple. The feeling lasts a long time, helping relive acute and chronic dry skin issues and improve skin elasticity.

PART OF THE OIL CLEANSING METHOD: Using blends of butters, seed oils, and scrubby things is part of OCM. Most people do not know this! Now you do!! One of the challenges of OCM is figuring out how to get some exfoliation when you need it. If you like to cleanse with oils, Perfection Scrub will fit perfectly into your routine. I include a full size jar in my OCM STARTER KIT (along with a Cleansing Oil and one of my 2 facial oils.

GOOD FOR ALL SKIN TYPES NOT OVERLY PRONE TO ACNE OR VERY SENSITIVE. Especially great for those with acute and chronic dry skin issues. Those who get occasional outbreaks (I do!) will love this scrub! It won’t dry you out and the salts will help heal the blemishes. If you have sensitive skin, please use with caution.

If you experience tingling when you first start using a salt facial scrub it means you have small wounds which need to heal. Rinse off with warm water if intolerable. If you can stand a bit of sting, your skin will heal faster. Regular use of The Oil Cleansing Method and Facial Oils to condition skin, a salt scrub will help restore your skin and help sooth sensitive skin over time.

ENHANCED WITH THERAPEUTIC ESSENTIAL OILS:  Grapefruit + Lemon + Lime + Litsea + Mandarin + Sweet Orange Peel

  • Exfoliate 3-4 times a week on average. If you have sensitive skin please use less often.

  • Apply a small amount to warm damp skin. Gently scrub for a bit as the salt and sugar melts. Rinse with warm water and wipe with a soft cloth soaked in warm water to remove.

  • Pat dry. Proceed to the next step in your routine: toning, moisturizing and/or conditioning with oils.

Salt is incredibly healing and hydrating. Leaving it on allows all the ingredients time to work their magic - nourishing and invigorating your skin! I like to do this treatment once or twice a week - especially in dry climates.

  • Apply scrub to warm wet hands and rub together to melt the salt and sugar.

  • Apply to damp skin, massage in, avoid eyes, allow to soak in.

  • Leave it on as long as you want, even overnight or rinse with warm water and wipe with a wet wash cloth. You can sleep with the mask on! But apply it about an hour before bed so it can soak in. A quick rinse after 20 minutes is an option too before you hit the pillow - removing some of it but allowing some to remain on your skin. After splashing blot dry leaving moisture behind to soak in with the mask.

MY FAVORITE HACK: Let me know if you try this is the comment section!

Blend together in a small container:

  • A teaspoon or so of Powder Foaming Charcoal Cleanser (link below)

  • Enough drops of oil (facial oil or cleansing oil) or water to achieve a consistency of ketchup. Add more oil or water until that happens. It’s not an exact thing, mix to your liking.

  • Add a small amount of Perfection Scrub for Faces (about 1/2 a teaspoon or more - to your liking)

  • Blend very well with a clean finger. to achieve a cream paste.

  • Apply a small amount to warm damp skin, and scrub.

  • Rinse with warm water and wipe with a warm wet wash cloth.

I go into details about how mineral rich salts benefits our skin here … incorporating salt into our skin care is a nourishing skin care tradtion.
