Beard/Hair + Skin/Scalp Oils: Infused with wild plants

$18.00

Two infused oils to nourish hair and skin anywhere on the body! Use as a “beard oil”, a “hair oil”, and as a skin oil.

I create one infused oil with wild mountain sage and evergreen needles from the alpine coniferous forest, then I blend in other fruit and seed oils. Once that is complete, I then create two different blends enhanced with different essential oils. Both scented variations are listed here.

  • WOODS WALK is more aromatic and includes the same essential oils as in the Woods Walk bar soaps.

  • EARTH + WOOD is much less aromatic.

Both of my options are a blend of the following infused oils, along with additional fruit and seed oils and Vitamin E. Both options offer a hint of the aroma imparted by the infused evergreen needles and sage leaves. Additional essential oils create variety and offer different aromatic properties.

Please expect some variation in aroma from batch to batch.

THE BASE OILS:

¥Avocado Fruit oil infused with ^Wild Mountain Sage and ^Evergreen needles │ ¥Grape seed oil │ ¥Sunflower seed oil │ ¥Safflower │ ¥Apricot │ ¥Borage seed oil │ *Olive Oil Squalane │ ¥Jojoba oil │ ¥Sweet Almond oil │ ¥Rosehip Seed oil │ *Meadowfoam seed oil │ *Mixed Tocopherols (Vitamin E) │ Essential oils (listed below).

*Organic, †Naturally Derived, ^wildcrafted, ¥virgin + organic + unrefined + cold pressed.

THE ESSENTIAL OILS IN EACH BLEND:

EARTH + WOOD: This one is much less aromatic than the Woods Walk: Cedarleaf, Cedarwood, Fir Needle, White Spruce, Sandalwood, Frankincense, Vetiver.

WOODS WALK: This is the same blend I use in the Woods Walk bar soaps and is much nore aromatic than the Earth+Wood with a hint of vanilla: Frankincense, Myrrh, Cedarwood, Benzoin, Vetiver, Sandalwood, Vanilla.

Here is what I harvest to infuse into my evergreen infused oil: vivid green, velvety tips of the alpine spruce, pine, fir, and juniper growth along with the sticky cone "blossoms” and co-infused with wild Mountain Sage …

The more I learn about the medicinal power of the mighty Evergreen sentinels of the Northern forest that surround my mountain home, the more in love with them I fall.

The oils and sap of coniferous trees all have anti-cancer properties similar to Frankincense, but they don't get quite the attention!

How to use:

These blends are lightweight and soak in really fast without leaving a heavy emollience to hair and skin.

For best results, apply to your locks, skin, and facial hair after bathing or washing.

Apply a few drops or more to damp or wet skin and massage gently to enhance absorption.

Allow to air dry.

What do “oils” do for our hair and skin? A very brief description …

Despite what we read and hear repeatedly, “oils” are not moisturizing! And this is very important!

Oils contain no moisture (no water), so they can not hydrate anything: think of it: water and oil are two very different things.

Only water (or water-like substances like aloe juice) can hydrate your skin!

Oils provide a “moisturizing effect” by SEALING IN MOISTURE THAT IS IN YOUR SKIN. This is called Dermal moisture. We increase dermal moisture when we bathe and wash. Skin and hair absorb water easily, and the oils seal it in, so immediately after you dry off, apply a few drops of oils before the water evaporates (it does that quickly, so apply your oils immediately after you dry off.

Oils also soften, condition, and improve the texture of hair and skin, and provide nourishment to cells.

No matter how much or how often you apply pure oil or seed butter like coconut oil, parched, tight, dehydrated skin (what we call dry skin) can not be moisturized or hydrated by any “oil” or “seed butter”!

Confused? I bet you are! We see and hear this misinformation all the time, even from experts! But it is WRONG and can lead you to make bad skincare decisions!

It’s so important to know this … Delve deeper into this misunderstood ingredient. I promise you that it WILL help you decide what your skin (and hair) REALLY needs and when.
