Solid Salve “Lotion Bars”
A lotion Bar is technically a solid salve made with seed oils, nut butters and loads of beeswax so that when it is poured into the mold it comes out hard. It melts as you roll it around in your hands.
Excellent for chapped elbows, heels, knees, cuticles, and hands. They’re super rich and emollient.
Lotion Bars seal in moisture so they work especially well when applied to warm skin after bathing or handwashing to seal in the moisture that your skin soaked up. Lotion Bars work really well as part of the “rescue remedy” for parched, chapped skin. Rescue Remedy: step 1, apply a generous amount of LOTION first, let that soak in for a few minutes. Once the lotion has soaked in, pick up the puck, roll it around in your hands. The beeswax will seals in the moisture from the lotion.
Post Shaving: ladies who shave their legs, use the lotion bar as soon as you pat dry.
Ingredients: Cocoa Butter, Mango Butter, Beeswax, Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Avocado Oil, Olive Oil, Argan Kernel Oil, Rice Bran Extract, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Sunflower Extract, Vitamin E, Sea Buckthorn seed oil. Essential oils. (made with all organic ingredients).
Lotion Bars are available in the following essential oil enhanced options:
MOUNTAIN HEART: Rose, Lavender, Coriander, Geranium.
If you love mountain life then you have a mountain heart too. This blend of essential oils has long been one of my most popular offerings in my Wild Rose Mineral Immersion Soaking Solution. Now you can schmear it all over. A complex rose scent, with just enough Colorado Lavender to bring out the best in the rose and geranium, plus a dash of Coriander to spice things up. It’s a crowd-pleaser for sure.
ALPENGLOW: Chamomile, Clary Sage, Copaiba, Grapefruit, Colorado lavender, Balsam, Sandalwood, Sweet Marjoram, Ylang Ylang, Rose Otto, Geranium Rose.
Probably my favorite and my first signature scent. It’s always a top choice for gifting. I love the slightly floral note floating above the earthy undertones. With a feminine appeal. Soothing and calming to the senses.
CHILL: Sweet Orange, Lavender, Patchouli, Peppermint, Sweet Basil, Chamomile, Cardamom.
A warm, uplifting, gender-neutral, minty aroma with subtle floral notes excellent for anytime and everyone.
Lip Salvation Repair Cream: put an end to chapped, parched, cracked lips.
NEW PACKAGING: these now come in a squeeze tube instead of the pot. New image soon!
A Cream? For your lips? Yup! That’s right - CREAM!
If you’re constantly reaching for “chapstick” (aka Lip Balm) then you need to stop right there and reach for this instead.
Probably the most widespread misconception in skin care today is …. drum roll please … that lip balm provides moisture. They do not. A “Lip Balm” is a blend of seed butters, oils and waxes. They seal in moisture already present in the skin and can soften and condition lips that are not damaged. However, if our lips ARE chapped, dry, and parched AND we’re constantly applying lip balm (aka chapstick) we’re likely making matters worse! This also applies to parched, dehydrated, cracked SKIN!
What do we mean by “moisture” and “hydration”?
If you were feeling parched and dehydrated INSIDE, you wouldn’t drink a glass of olive oil because oils do not contain any moisture. You would reach for a glass of water! The same rule of nature applies to skin care, including what you need for parched, dry, chapped lips. You’re chapped lips need MOISTURE.
Moisture = hydration = WATER! Or water-like ingredients. What do I mean by water-like? It’s a rather short list: Hydrosol waters and Aloe juice, both are “water with benefits”. So, if you don’t see water, aloe, or hydrosol on the label then there is ZERO MOISTURE in there!
To achieve REAL HEALING?
I beg you to try my Lip Salvation Repair Cream. It provides healing compounds AND … lots and lots of moisture!
How to Use:
For very damaged, chapped, cracked lips: Apply a generous amount in the morning and let that soak in for about 5 minutes then apply a spf lip balm. Avoid the sun and wind! Drink lots of water throughout the day, and apply a small amount constantly throughout the day. Then at night, before bed, apply a very generous amount on and around our lips and let that soak in for about 5 minutes before you hit the pillow. I suggest that after the repair cream has had time to soak in, apply lip balm for extra moisture sealing in properties. You should start to see results within a day or 2. Once you have resolved the acute damage, reduce how often you use the cream to 2-3 times.
To maintain healthy lips: Everyone should be doing this! Apply a generous amount to your lips morning and/or night before bed and let it soak in for 5 minutes before applying lip balm, lipstick, or spf lip balm.
Ingredients: (all of these ingredients are considered safe to apply to lips) *Green tea hydrosol, mango butter, *cocoa butter, *grape seed oil, *rice bran oil, *aloe,*evening primrose oil, sodium behenoyl lactylate, stearyl alcohol, *glycerin, hyaluronic acid, candelilla wax, propanediol, Vitamin E, Ethylhexylglycerin (and) potassium sorbate, essential oils: *Helichrysum, *Bisabolol, Copaiba. (*organic)
Little known FACT! Most lip balms are rancid. That’s right, rancid!
Why? Because they’re made in big batches, transported long distances, stored for long periods on shelves, AND in your pocket! My motto is FRESH IS BEST, so toss out any lip balm in your possession older than 1 year and start fresh.
