Cream? For your lips? You bet!
Are you constantly reaching for LIP BALM (aka chapstick) and STILL sufffering from PARCHED, CRACKED or CHAPPED lips?
Well, I suggest you put down your “Chapstick” (aka Lip Balm) and keep reading … cause you might want to try my Lip Salvation Repair Cream.
Lip Balms are lovely and help keep healthy lips soft and smooth by SEALING IN the moisture already present in your skin (lips), but ... drum roll please .... LIP BALMS CONTAIN ZERO MOISTURE, so they can not hydrate your parched, dry lips.
I know what you're thinking ... WHAT? Here’s the scoop in a nutshell:
Lip balms (chapstick) are blends of oils, butters, and waxes. New flash: these ingredients contain NO moisture (aka WATER) and ONLY water, or aloe juice or hydrosol, can provide hydration. And this is why you experience some relief when you first apply lip balm, but then quickly feel the need to apply more as soon as it wear off. Your not “addicted” to your lip balm so to speak, you just are not moisturing them so as soon as the balm wears off you feel the need for more.
To actually HEAL your chapped lips you need to consider a different approach.
Keep reading to learn more because understanding what lip balms offers, and what it doesn’t, will inform all of your skin care decisions. Because skin (and chapped lips) must have a balance of water AND oil to be happy.
Packaged in a .5 ounce tube with complete instructions to get the best results.

INTRODUCTION
Let’s cover a few things first … Dry, chapped lips are typically caused by environmental exposures that lead to irritation, including saliva and licking your lips, spicy foods, cold, dry weather, dry climates, high alpine environments, sunburn, windburn, and dry air indoors during winter.
Another sneaky cause of dry lips: not drinking enough water! Dehydration can quickly lead to lips becoming chapped, especially when traveling to high altitudes and on planes.
MANY common over-the-counter drugs and prescription medications can cause dry lips by irritating the skin, dehydrating the body, or causing other metabolic changes. These include sleep aides (such as melatonin), antihistamines, and some antidepressants. Please check the information that comes with your medication to see if dry mouth is listed as a side effect.
Precautions when you know the cause of your problem: If your lips are cracked, bleeding, or have blisters, you may experience a sting when you apply this cream. Please proceed with caution, and if the sting is severe or intolerable, remove it with tepid water and apply a cold compress.
Precautions to take when you DO NOT know the cause: When to seek medical attention? If your lips are severely cracked or bleeding without a known cause, it would be wise to consult with a dermatologist to determine if you have an underlying allergy or if dermatitis is causing your issues.

In the long run, Lip Salvation can be used as your only lip treatment, or it can be used in conjunction with a lip balm. You would apply the cream first, let it soak in for a few minutes, then apply your lip balm. Scroll down for details.

HOW TO USE:
For acute situations (like sunburn): When lips are severely chapped and cracked (see precautions above), apply a small amount on your lips and on the skin around your mouth. Try not to lick your lips and repeat this application often throughout the day and before bed.
During the day: Try to avoid sun exposure! If you can stay mostly indoors and avoid the elements for a few days, you will heal faster by using just this cream!
If you must be outdoors with chapped lips: Carry this cream and an SPF lip balm with you at all times. When you feel the need to reach for lip balm, apply the cream first. Let it soak in for about 1 minute to ensure it’s absorbed, then apply SPF lip balm on top.
Before Bed: Apply the cream and allow it to soak in for a few minutes to ensure it is deeply absorbed, then apply lip balm (aka chapstick) on top to help seal in moisture through the night.
NOTE: Lip balm not only seals IN moisture, it creates a waterproof barrier that will seal mositure OUT! If you apply lip balm to dry chapped lips you are actually “sealing in dryness”! If you have any on your lips before applying the cream, it will inhibit its absorption.
How to get the best results with Lip Balm: since lip balm seals in moisture, it also seals OUT moisture by creating a water-proof barrier. Think about it this way … if you apply lip balm BEFORE you get in the shower, you are effectively prohibiting the water from being soaked up into your lips. This effectively “seals out moisture” - the opposite of what we need.
The best time to apply Lip Balm: the SECOND you leave the shower! As soon as you dry your face, apply lip balm as soon as humanly possible! This will seal in all that moisture your skin absorbed in the shower!
Ingredient Details: A Deeper Dive
Instead of plain water for moisture, I combine pure organic aloe juice and green tea hydrosol water to hydrate and provide additional healing and soothing properties.
Multidimensional Hyaluronic acid plumps up the lips and reduces fine lines. Hyaluronic acid works by penetrating the skin matrix where it forms little water pockets. HA is a naturally occurring compound found in healthy skin. It is deficient in skin that has an impaired Acid Mantel. The Acid Mantel (what we refer to as the Moisture Barrier) not only protects the skin and helps keep it from becoming parched and dehydrated at the surface, but it also helps keep our skin strong and resilient, better able to handle the rigors of daily life and reduce premature skin aging.
Skin-identical ceramides are another Natural Moisture Factor that are vital components of a strong, healthy, functioning Acid Mantle. When skin is exposed to environmental damage, its natural ceramide levels decrease, and the skin can no longer perform its vital functions. The first sign of this impairment is the feeling of your lips becoming dry, chapped, parched and cracked. Topically, with the addition of ceramides, we can help replenish these levels, and this helps reinforce and repair the Acid Mantle. In the long run, ceramides are crucial for maintaining that barrier, helping shield your lips from pollutants, toxins, and other environmental stressors (sun, wind) while reducing dryness and soothing irritation.
Lavender glycerite is lavender-infused glycerine. Glycerine is another Natural Moisture Factor abundant in healthy skin! Topically, it acts as a humectant, attracting moisture and retaining it by forming a protective barrier. This helps shield lips from irritants and environmental stressors. Glycerine also promotes wound healing and reduces inflammation, which helps stimulate collagen production. As it starts to help heal your lips they will begin to feel smoother and more supple. Infusing the glycerine with lavender brings additional healing and soothing properties to calm irritated lips.
Fatty alcohols (sodium behenoyl lactylate and sodium lauroyl lactylate), plant oils and waxes, seed butters and vitamin E all help to soften brittle, cracked skin and provide healing compounds. They can communicate with (penetrate) skin cells, feeding them nutrients that help support cellular health AND seal in moisture.
