Perfection Scrub for Faces 3 in 1 Cleansing Balm + Mask + Exfoliant
Perfection Scrub for Faces 3 in 1 Cleansing Balm + Mask + Exfoliant
Skin feeling tight, parched, dehydrated? It’s the number one skin care challenge for just about everyone I meet.
The good news … Perfection Scrub is part of your rescue remedy.
To create this buttery delight I whip together, in tiny batches, a cornucopia of super fresh, raw, unrefined nut butters and seed oils renown for their healing properties. I infuse this with wild mountain sage and blend in super fine salt and sugar to create this customer favorite, skin healing scrub.
With regular use, Perfection Scrub for faces improves dermal hydration and reduces the feeling of being persistently parched and dehydrated. How? By helping heal the Acid Mantle (aka moisture barrier). When used according to my instructions you should experience softer, more supple skin, less outbreaks and bumps, and real improvement in barrier function in about 1 - 2 months.
I created this scrub for just about everyone without majorly sensitive/reactive skin, or deep, cystic acne. Those seeking healthy aging, those who get occasional outbreaks and “maskne” (acne caused by wearing a face mask) get excellent results. Guys with a clean shave and those with short beards love it too.

Skin which does not become parched and dehydrated is doing a good job of retaining dermal hydration.
Skin which stays moisturized throughout the day is doing a good job of keeping moisture locked in.
But if you tend to feel parched, tight and dehydrated during the day, after you have applied lotion or cream in the morning, it’s a sign that the acid mantle (your moisture barrier) has become impaired. Taking steps to fix this will make your skin look and feel better, and reduce the chances of more damage occurring over time.
Unrefined natural sea salts are actually considered by scientists to be Natural Moisture Factors! Not all salt is created equal, though—unrefined natural sea salts hydrate! But ordinary table salt (sodium chloride) does the opposite.
Bathing in a magnesium-rich Dead Sea salt solution improves skin barrier function, enhances skin hydration, and reduces inflammation in atopic dry skin have been a part of human history for thousands of years. Ocean water salts are rich in skin-nourishing nutrients - potassium, calcium, selenium, sodium, sulfur, and magnesium. These mineral nutrients benefit dry skin, eczema, and psoriasis by strengthening skin barrier function. It’s the combination of minerals in natural sea salts that are absolutely crucial for glowing, healthy skin.
Salt pulls moisture to the surface of the skin. Keeping that moisture locked in is the key to improving dermal hydration and healing the moisture barrier. It might seem counterintuitive, but mineral-rich sea salts are deeply healing to our skin when used the right way. They relieve and actually heal parched, dehydrated skin.
A short list of skin benefits from natural sea salt:
Unrefined natural sea salt absorbs acne causing bacteria & pathogenic yeast, helps regulate skin oil & sebum production, reduces clogged pores and outbreaks, and encourages healing of wounds thereby reducing the risk scar formation.
Sea Salt is naturally exfoliating, dead skin cells readily slough off just in the presence of salty water even without scrubbing.
Salt encourages healing of wounds and treat skin infections.
Salt high in magnesium is anti-inflammatory & anti-microbial which can reduce itching and help control the bacteria and fungi which cause eczema, acne and Rosacea.
By increasing circulation on the surface of the skin and improving cell regeneration, salt helps open pores, enhance blood flow, and improve the absorption of moisturizers and other treatments.
Strengthens the epidermis and increases cellular communications - which slows as we age - improves cellular metabolism, and increases conversion of nutrients into energy.
Bring on the plump, smooth skin! Natural sea salts improve the skin’s texture and complexion by reducing redness and roughness. Through osmosis, minerals in salt help draw moisture and nutrients to the surface of the skin, helping plump up skin cells!
Saltwater is slightly acidic, closely matching the skin's desired pH - vitaly important healthy skin function.
INSTRUCTIONS:
ALWAYS APPLY TO WET SKIN, NEVER DRY
Only exfoliate 2 - 3 times a week and only ever at night, after exposure to sunlight is no longer an issue.
You might experience minor stinging when you first start using this scrub; it means you have small wounds which need to heal. If it’s intolerable, rinse it off with warm water, and try again the next day.
Remember to only use this scrub on wet or damp skin, never dry.
My favorite time to use Perfection Scrub (and why I created it in the first place) is before I get into the shower.
A significant contributor to the loss of dermal hydration which leads to skin becoming parched and dehydrated is stripping away native skin oils and natural moisture factors (NMF) when bathing. Our skin is not well adapted to being constanting washed, period. When we bathe we strip away natural oils and moisture factors, making our skin extremely vulnerable to rapid moisture loss through evaporation. And the hotter the water, the worse it is for our skin. To help reduce this, my favorite time to use Perfection Scrub is to apply it right before I get in the shower . The butters and oils form a protective layer on top, while the salt nourishes the skin underneath;
Wash your face first with a pure cleansing oil or my Cold Cream Silk Cleanser.
Apply a generous amount of Perfection Scrub for Faces to your warm damp skin before entering the shower.
Immediately upon entering the shower, with warm wet fingers, gently massage for a moment or 2, then rinse lightly.
Pat dry at end of the shower, tone and moisturize right away.
How to use Perfection Scrub without exfoliation:
Put scoop of the scrub in your warm wet hands, rub them together briskly to dissolve the salt and sugar.
Now apply this to warm damp skin, massage, splash with warm water to remove, then wipe with a warm wet washcloth (optional). Pat dry.
Perfection Scrub as a nourishing mask:
Dry or mature skin will love to use it like this … salt nourishes, invigorates, hydrates, softens, and plumps the skin - Leaving it on allows all the ingredients time to work their magic.
Put some scrub into warm, wet hands and rub them together briskly to melt the salt and sugar. After a few moments the salt and sugar will dissolve.
Now, apply to warm wet skin, massage gently.
Leave it on for 5 -15 minutes then rinse with warm water or enter the shower.
